Wow. Is this the first 2 for 1 offer in box office opening history? I know there have been $17.76 style tickets (or was it $19.85 for American Psycho) which may equate to the same thing.

It depends on the usual price of the seat I suppose. A $20 seat in the rear balcony is different from buying two $250 seats for the price of one.

God forbid people expect sets and cast members to sit on those dozens of massive stages with three-storey prosceniums. Let’s knock them all down and put black boxes in their place - why keep them if we can’t expect them to be used for that which they were built?

Interesting. Audience interjections were very present in the last revival. They’d better make space for them or there’s going to be a lot of stepping on lines. The theatre may be large but when you’ve got kids in the front row belting “a$$hole” and “$lut” at you, size won’t matter. 

Maybe. I think anyone who knows Josh Gad and the Harris family already know Chess and Mincemeat and will be seeing the shows or not. But just like sticking Cynthia Erivo’s name on a CATS post, they’ll try anything these days.
