Angels in America and more to come to Toronto Nov 7 2012, 02:26:19 PM
Toronto's Soulpepper Theatre Company just announced their 2013 season and WOW, it's pretty amazing. Im live here in T.O and I know some of you up-state'rs like coming up to see a show once in a while, if you do I hope it's for a Soulpepper production. They make some of the best theatre i've ever seen. This is my first time Seeing Angels and it happens to be my favourite play so Im quite excited :) along with the other shows! http://www.soulpepper.ca/performances.aspx#season_13

I thought it was really enjoyable, quite obviously a first preview but it has potential. Lindsey was adorable and loveable and it was very easy to get attached to her character. All the boys played their parts just fine, but their characters in the show are just so unlikeable i couldn't really find a reason to care about what they were doing–this was one of the show's biggest downfalls. you only see the boys being a**holes and really arent given a redeeming feature until the very end,

I do agree with a lot of the reviews when they say that the weakness in the throughline is covered by the charisma and wit of the cast. And while the focus could have been stronger in latter 30 minutes, I found it so easy to forgive them because during those 30 minutes I was so entertained, and in the "now-here-this", that I didn't realize it until I had left the the

Now. Here. This. at the Vineyard Mar 22 2012, 10:01:01 PM
I saw it just a couple days ago and then again two nights after and totally agree that improvements have been made. I had an awesome time and was actually really moved by what they had to say. It could be the fact that I had already seen the material so it seemed clearer, but they did make changes. Im pretty sure Members Only was shortened, along with Hunter's song in the beginning. But they added in some stuff in the first scenes and Heidi's song at the end (which I loved). With those changes,
