It really was not good at George Street Playhouse a few years ago. Terrible book and boring music. Erika Henningsen was the only good part playing Joy. I do love Betsy though, so maybe I'll give it another try.

I’m hearing a lot of different things about the sight lines. I found some affordableish tickets on the orchestra sides that aren’t marked as PV, but want to see what others say.

I’ve heard chatter that they do not plan to close this anytime soon. More replacements will come.

The announcement is in 1 month. Anyone have any thoughts?

It was certainly a mess at the theater tonight! All the staff were doing their best and were exceptionally kind, except for one house manger telling people that there were no refunds and handing out past date information as people were walking away with refund receipts from the box office.

Their stagehands have been on strike since the beginning of their last two productions they had to close. It was pretty big news. I don’t think anything has been settled yet.

Has anyone see this? I have one more slot in my trip tonight and am wondering if I should add this. I know it’s gotten great views and a few Olivier nominations, but I wanted to hear some other people’s thoughts.

I would also put that the Hayes is a subscription house as it is owned by Second Stage and is booked after their rental production of Job. They announced a few weeks ago that Cult of Love begins in November 2024.

I was refunded! I was just mentioning that even though they refunded and called this an invited dress. I was still going in as a patron and not a friend or family, so I don’t know why one of the above posters said that all invited dress attendees would like the production because we were not invited. ART chose to call it that, but that didn’t alter my expectations at all.

I know it was billed as an invited dress, but last night really felt like experiencing something very special for the first time. I don’t think I will forget tonight for a long time. There is work that needs to be done, but overall it was beyond expectations and an incredible experience.
