"Gaga will be on tour, so she's out." There are actually no shows scheduled during the RENT performances. She's in Kansas City on August 3 and then in LA on August 11. It could work. I'd love to see her do some theatre to show off where she started.

Bumping this because I wanted to share this with you guys: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G24BNOC2gns I know the screaming is extremely annoying and the sound quality isn't that great on the ears, but if you skip to 6:24, a remix version of the POTO Overture starts playing. Even though I'm not a HUGE fan of POTO anymore, I still admire her for incorporating some form of theatre into her act.

Last weekend, the performing arts department at my school put on The Polar Express, which left a local station and went into Boston, then came back. On the ride, the drama club reenacted scenes from the book/movie and gave out cookies, etc. There were 4 trips total, and during one trip alone, there were a ton of people talking, little kids walking in the aisle while the actors are trying to perform, one guy was not only listening to the football game on the radio, but also commentating on it....

Out of all the shows closing that day, why the HELL would you choose 13?

Why would it be a revival? It hasn't played on Broadway before.
