There are shows that are popular and beloved and I just don't "get" why.
I'm not saying they are bad... but they just don't work for me the way they seem to work for others.
KISS ME, KATE
LES MISERABLES
AVENUE Q
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
OLIVER
I second the "Oliver!" motion.
Never understood the big deal with "Oklahoma!" beyond its historical significance.
"Ragtime," it's a good show and I remember that I loved it when I first saw it. However, I don't see why people are so enamoured with it.
drowsy chaperone
i get it, liked it but didn't love it
I will never understand why anyone would willingly go to Cats.
Urinetown.
Everyone in the theatre laughed. Except me.
spring awakening.....okay, but not my fav

I just don't understand what a bunch of my friends see in Little Women.
Wicked
I don't know, maybe I just outgrew it.
EDIT: Yeah and color purple
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
"CATS" and "Jersey Boys."
Edit: Oh, and "Mamma Mia," "The Wedding Singer," and "West Side Story."

ANY Jukebox musical.
Don't care which or why or where.
I don't get why people want to see an artist's work inappropriately smashed together and squished through a story that tries to make it all work out.

"Spring Awakening" - I really love the music, but I was the only person in my row who not only didn't care, but didn't cry. I feel like I somehow missed the emotional boat with this show.
The Color Purple. The only thing I liked was the final number.

Any jukebox musical especially, 'Jersey Boys' and 'Mamma Mia'. Yawn!
Les Miz - watching it was really tedious
Phantom of the Opera - doesn't live up to its hype
Cats - I used to like this when I was a kid, but now I don't and have no idea why I used to like it. I guess it was the excitement of being in a theatre and it was my first musical?
Rent - same reason as Phantom
Spring Awakening - I enjoyed it, but it's definitely not my favorite. I went in expecting way too much from it due to the numerous rave reviews I read.
