Erika Henningsen Confirms She Read for Rapunzel in TANGLED

Well, this confirms the Tangled stage musical is a real thing and not just a rumor with good PR. Erika Henningsen said out loud in an interview that she auditioned for Rapunzel.

She has the belt and she has the comedy, obviously, but Rapunzel is a very specific kind of wide-open ingenue energy and I keep wondering whether the role wants someone younger or whether it wants someone who can actually land the jokes. I would take the jokes.

Saying it "out loud" in an interview is far less cool than if she whispered it or shadow-puppeted it.

Saying you "hate" JK Rowling but will still support the franchise, that is still being complicit. Even if you pirate that damn HBO show, the network will still use it to gauge interest in the IP.
