re: What was your favorite play/musical you yourself have been in?

Jul 29, 2004 — 5:42:40 PM

Best role I have ever performed was Amos Hart in "Chicago". My favorite role I have ever done was in the world premiere performance of "Round O and Crooked S" which is a moderation of the book "The Professor and the Madman". I played a sadistic, gay doctor who abused his patients sexually in an insane asylum. The role was great because I REALLY had to act to play that part

re: Your upcoming season (school, community, professional theatre)

Jul 20, 2004 — 11:26:45 AM

Our season at SUNY Cortland this year is "Merrily we Roll Along" by Sondheim, "The Importance of Being Earnest" and one of my all time favorites, "Anything Goes". Last year we did "Chicago", a brand new play by a local writer entitle "Round O and Crooked S". We also did "The Mystery of Edwin Drood"

I'm going to opening night in New Bedford to see my friend Jeff Brooks as Gaston. I know there was a thread a while back about musical theater colleges. Brooks is a graduate of the SUNY Cortland musical theater program. you can check out the New Bedford production at this site: http://www.nbfestivaltheatre.com/

I am currently a Musical Theater major at SUNY Cortland (it's in central NY). Although we are a small program we are building a reputation as an outstanding program. Our past two mainstage musicals were "Chicago" and "The Mystery of Edwin Drood". Both of whom were the talk of the community as well as neighboring cities, which says alot because we are in the shadows of other theater/music schools (ie Syracuse and Ithaca). We also do a straight play every fall. This year we had the debut produc...

"Take Me Out" Monologues

Feb 10, 2004 — 2:21:05 PM

Does anyone know if the monologues from the Broadway show "Take Me Out" are in the book of the same name? I'd like to do some of Mason's (Denis O'Hare) monologues. They are simply outstanding. If anyone knows where I can find some, please let me know

re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: Hot gossip... movie Ulla.

Jan 13, 2004 — 1:45:13 AM

IF Nicole Kidman got Ulla, that would more than likely mean a drastic re-write of the script to include more Ulla. You don't have a star like Nicole Kidman in half the movie. And I personally think the movie should stick to it's original stage stars. Lane and Broderick I think would be enough to sell on screen. If they're not going to stay with the original cast though, I would love to see Eddie Izzard as Carmen Ghia. That man is funny in anything he does.

re: re: now THIS was a challenge

Hardest Role I have ever played was Dr. Thaddeus Quilt in "Round O and Crooked S" by Bill Allen . I originated this role this past December at SUNY Cortland. English accent, gay, sadistic and torturous. A hell of alot of lines and monologues to learnMy favorite role of all time is Amos Hart in "Chicago" which I played this past October also at SUNY Cortland. Such a great character and "Mr. Cellophane" is such an awesome song.

re: re: re: NYC--The weekend of Jan. 16th....

Jan 4, 2004 — 2:31:47 AM

I'll be in NY on the 16th. I've got Orchestra seats for "the Producers". This will be the 3rd time I've seen it. Second time with Broderick, first time with Lane
