i am all a tingle to hear the song "dick, dick, dick" that will ineveitably follow the explanation of "like a virgin." this will truly be a mature musical!

"Eve's Bayou" might make a good musical....or "The Snapper" or even "Dead Again" if they focused more on the love story.

Ohhh yes I agree on Nightmare Before Christmas!

Hmm...Oh I think Dirty Dancing would be good. I think they tried a stage version and it did pretty bad but I think it could be done very well.

I know that they have STAGED versions of Nightmare before Christmas before.... very good i hear....

Gavin = Toby in Pville would be AMAZING. i love it.

I'd love to see a stage version of "8 Women" its already a musical, its fabulous.. i love it. i think the music needs some (okay, a lot) of work... BUT its a beautiful and bizarre piece of art that would be just breath taking on stage...
just my opinion!

Pleasantville would be amazing- it's one of my favorite movies, and they could do wonders with it if it were turned into a musical.

And call me crazy cuz it would never happen, but something about the characters in Pirates of the Caribbean need songs to sing...The Captain of the pearl screams bad-guy-Captain-Hook-like tarantellas, and Keira Knightley's role calls for a soprano ingenue. The dashing leading man is Orlando Bloom's part, and Captain Jack Sparrow needs some comedic solos. If it worked it would be amazing, but I don't see how they could do it.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

Think of the great tunes it would inspire:

"The Baby in the Bullrushes"

"But He Doesn't LOOK Egyptian"

"If I Were a Shepherd"

"He Talks to Bushes"

"The Pharaoh's Going Bald!"

"It'll Soon PassOver"

"Angel of Death We Adore You"

"What's Another Plague?"

"Don't Worry You Won't Get Wet"

"Knock It Off Or I'll Add An Eleventh"

"Wondering While We're Wandering"

"A Pyramid A Day"

"I Don't Give a Toot About Tut"

"The Bondage Ballet"

"Bloody Waters"

"Aaron, Miriam and Zephorah"

"Take These Tablets And Get Plenty Of Rest"

"They're Not Iguanas; They're Frogs"

"Long live God!" (GODSPELL)

Maybe it's just me, but i always found the magic in the nighmare before christmas to come from the fact that it is claymation. How can a stage version possibly come close to the magical look of the film? I just think it can't. Only so many things can be done with makeup.
