kyle.-Audra McDonald has won four Tonys, if I'm not mistaken.
Julie Andrews definitley should have a Tony, it's suprising that she doesn't have (at least) one.
I'm not sure who else.

re: Depressing endings
The only musical I can think of having been depressing to me was Miss Saigon, and maybe West Side Story.
The endings of Rent, Sweeney, Les Mis, etc., I suppose could be considered sad, but the shows don't seem to end on entirely grim notes.

re: Your top 5 movie musicals!
In no particular order:
Singin' in the Rain
West Side Story
The Music Man
Chicago
My Fair Lady
The recent movies (Phantom, Rent and Producers) have been alright, but not great, if you ask me.

re: If you could re-open any show, which one would it be?
For my own selfish purposes, Assassins, Into the Woods, Miss Saigon and Sunday in the Park with George. I never got to see them on Broadway, and I wanted to...so much. Especially the first two. And Les Mis is already coming back...no idea why, but I can't seem to get enough of that one.
re: The Dullest Characters EVER!
I actually rather like Anthony and Johanna in Sweeney Todd, but maybe that's just me.
I'll go along with Cosette and Marius in Les Miserables though. And I know I'll probably get shot for saying this, but I generally feel that the character of Joanne doesn't do much for Rent, although she is in some of my favorite songs. I'll agree with everyone who said 42nd Street as well.

re: Ah, favorite little moments on an OBC...
I think a lot of mine have already been mentioned.
-My favorite is probably the aforementioned Fantine/Eponine harmony in Les Mis OBC.
-In Rent, I'm particulary fond of Voicemail #5(?), but I think there are plenty more.
-In the Sweeney Todd revival, I absolutely adore the part in "God, That's Good" when Lovett and Todd are talking ("Is this a chair fit for a king...") and you can hear Toby on violin in the background playing "Not While I'm Around"
I know I have many more,

re: Weird and/or Random Broadway References
Well, I tend to focus on Les Mis references in particular, but here are a couple.
-My favorite was in the first season of The West Wing, when Sam refers to investigations as to whether White House staffers were using drugs as "Inspector Javert's drug search".
-In the book Kite Runner when the main character is talking to someone at the American Embassy, I believe, he says that the guy has a Les Mis poster behind his desk, and sitting in front of him he feels like Valjean si
