Mama Mia! II may actually be happening

I've never really been a fan of this show, mainly because I like to hear ABBA songs sung by ABBA.

But the movie was a hit so naturally there is talk of a sequel.

Enough with Meryl singing. She has an "ok" voice - not a voice good enough to warrant countless movie musicals.

no thanks.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

The MammaMia! Movie is a guilty pleasure of mine, but this is kind of...well....very unecessary

I love Streep, but I really doubt that she would want to do a sequel....doesn't she not like to do sequels for some reason?

They used all their biggest and best known hits for the first one. What are they going to call this... Mamma Mia II - The B Sides?

That's very true!

Really? I'm a huge fan of the musical...seen it 22 times to date. But I didn't think the movie gave it justice. You just same mirror the energy you get in the live show. I can't imagine a Mamma Mia 2 movie.

Will this just be the other half of the stage show score that wasn't used in the film?

Love Streep's singing voice (love that she gets cast in countless musicals), love the movie MAMMA MIA to death, I'd be there opening night even if it ends up being the SEX & THE CITY 2 of the year it comes out... Streep will never do it though, unless they can get everyone else on board.

True, but for an actress as wonderful as she is (and I truly think Streep is one of the greatest living actors), having a "pretty good" voice (in my opinion) makes her much more appropriate for starring in a few (2, to date) movie musicals than most other actors.

I would be so excited to see a musical adaption in 3D. Maybe Wicked.

"Um wouldn't seeing wicked in 3d be going to the Gershwin...its playing in 3d 8 times a week

Please, keep the 3D for the bombastic action flicks. I like my musical movies flat.
