re: Movies of Aida and Footloose...
Heather Headley should be cast. She has gone platnum and was nominated for a Grammy for her R&B Cd so she isn't completely unknown. All I can say is that Beyonce would crack under vocal strain(Dance Of The Robe, can't sing cappella for begining of God's Love Nubia, Elaborate Lives) and would be terible on a complex charactor like Aida. Get a male star who's really big right now and you will be fine.
re: Choosing a Musical For Middle School Aged Performers
I would suggest the Mary Martin version of Peter Pan.
re: DREAMGIRLS in ATLANTA,GA
I really wanted to see this show, since I have never seen it. I can't go now because I live far away from Atlanta. What did it look like? How where all the other leads besides Holliday? I do have the 2001 CD and it's worth every penny. It has the full show (including diolouge).
re: Which actress do you think will play a great Rose ?
This is totally a joke but:
WHITNEY HOUSTON
and Fantasia could play Loise
They would rewrite the show so at the end Whitney will sing to Loise "I Will Always Love You"

re: Shows that shouldn't/won't be revived
I am looking at my liener(sp?) notes and aparently Hair already had a revival.
Says: "By the time Hair ended it's run on Broadway, on July 1, 1972, it had become a casualty of changing trends, a show so identified with its own time that a revival, in October 1977, failed even to raise an eyebrow in an otherwise busy Broadway season and closed after only 43 performances"
They would obviously have to revamp/ rewrite it to do well

re: Shows that shouldn't/won't be revived
I read somewhere that there used to be plans for A Little Night Music revival starring Glenn Close and directed by Trevor Nunn. It was supposed to open in 2005. Anyone else hear this and what happend. I also think Titanic shouldn't be revived. I also couldn't see Pippin getting revied.
re: Who have you gotten stuff back from?
TheatreDiva90016 what is Harvey Fierstein's adress?
re: I dread the day high schools are able to do...
Phantom, I would love to see that cardboard chandelier falling. Speeking of high schools doing Pippin my high school did it, and to say the least it was treible. The guy playing Pippin sounded constapated, the lead player was nasely, anoying, and stood on stage with her hand on her hip as if saying "I'm better than this" when she was TERRIBLE.
re: Which do you prefer - Miss Saigon or Les Miserables?
It is a VERY close call, but I prefer Miss Saigon
re: Who Do YOU Want to Replace Ebersole?
I think that Madona might make an interesting replacement for Ebersole, though nobody will ever be as good as Ebersole
