I have a feeling Block is only going to be a temporary replacement until more of a "name" comes in this summer.

Yes! Now I don't feel bad for missing her last fall. Great for her to play the role on Bway again, even if she does go on tour.

I saw her in November and LOVED her! But I got tickets through HipTix for April 22nd thinking Sutton would still be in it because I want to see her in the role! I know that HipTix says there are no refunds or exchanges, but do you think that they would switch in this case?? Considering she was announced to be in the show until April 29th, I don't think it's too crazy to say I wanted to see her and I would like to switch my seats.

I saw the show in January - loved the dancing. But after seeing Stephanie in WICKED, I think her voice is a great fit for the music in ANYTHING GOES. I'll go back to see her in it....

Stephanie has one of the best voices in the business and I heard she nailed the tap dance number. Can't wait to see her, will get my family to come up during spring break to see her in it! It will be interesting to see who replaces Joel Grey!

Is studio 54 or American Airlines booked? I don't know why they wouldn't try to make as much money out of ANYTHING GOES as possible..

They are selling tix through Sept 9th, the numbers are good for them and any other show will need a lot more time to get up and running before the end of summer. ANYTHING GOES will more than likely play to Sept 9th and beyond if sales warrant.

I would have thought Edwin Drood would be more likely for Studio 54, I imagine Roundabout would want to use the current Broadway set for the tour rather than build a new one but it wouldn't surprise if they extend until January 2013 nor would it surprise me if it closes in September, it has done very well for Roundabout and the tour should do good business.

based on when she starts, a 6 month contract seems likely for Block. March 13 - Sept. 9. And if the show does well during the spring & summer, there should be no reason it doesn't extend again until the end of the year.

I think Drood will take Studio 54. Isn't Harvey supposed to play there for a strictly limited engagement? This means Drood can go there once Harvey has finished its run. But I wouldn't be surprised if Anything Goes closed... it all depends on the ticket sales I guess.
