Happy Birthday, Carol! Now that you've recorded a gospel album and a patriotic album, can you please record a "Carol Channing sings The Vamp" album? It is criminal that it wasn't recorded 57 years ago when the show opened and I think you owe it to your fans to make this happen!

I don't think we need to take shots at Betty to prove Carol is extremely talented. Her talent speaks for itself. Carol seems like a very nice person. I hope she is healthy and happy for many years to come.

Both ladies are much beloved and admired--and rightfully so. Betty White got the big tribute on NBC because she had a new NBC series premiering immediately afterward.

Although I found the affection expressed during the White tribute sincere, the mere fact of the tribute wasn't an objective measure of Miss White's abilities.
