I saw the show as well last night (3/12). Idina's voice is as strong as it was back in 1996 when I saw her as Maureen, and in 2003 when I saw her as Elphaba. She kills it! Tony nomination guaranteed. Overall a good show. Another well done production by Mr. Grief. Now let's just see what Mr. Brantley has to say about it...

I pretty much agree with everything that Scarywarhol said. The show needs A LOT of work before opening night or the critics are going to rip it apart. There are a few one liners that were funny. But I found the 2nd act to be very BLAH. The finale was boring and very unexciting. I was also surprised at the sets. Very nothing - which is surprising for a Disney production.

Seeing it Friday night. I hope it's not Tarzan! I prefer more like Beauty & The Beast which was a great Broadway production in my humble opinion.

hak5 - you're dreaming. Yes - Kinky Boots is very well done. But if I was a voter and had to choose between KB and Matilda I would definitely choose Matilda hands down.

Looks like most of the dates are sold out again. Still a must see. Try Stubhub or one of those broker sites. It's worth the money.

WOW! Was lucky enough to catch it last night. Incredible! Patrick Stewart is by far the best MacBeth I have ever seen. A must see. Do whatever it takes to get your hands on tickets. You can't miss this performance.
