Wolverine and James Bond... Wow! This is going to be hard to top, as long as the play is promising. I think we can all agree that the acting will be superb.
They're having $31.50 student tickets it says. Do you think those will be tickets you can get in advance, or are they simply referring to the student rush program they will implement?
But geez, I feel like I'd have to get there at like 6 a.m. on a Saturday if I'm to get student rush tickets.
If it's rush tix, there is probably a line already .....

I'm curious as to what the deal is with the $31.50 student tickets. If they're not on sale with the rest of the tickets on Saturday, I guess I should just wait and rush it if that's what it's referring to.
I doubt the producers would announce student tickets, if they're rush seats, that they would NOT hold for students only. They must have a set number of seats set aside for the rush, or for students if they go on sale on Saturday. I guess I'll wait for those tickets. Otherwise, I'm spending over double for the $66 seats. Updated On: 7/9/09 at 11:41 AM
My job isn't going to get much work out of me tomorrow -- I'll be hanging on to the phone for dear life. And I'm SURE this is going to be like what happened to me with Phantom when it first opened in 1988 -- on the first day of ticket sales, the lines were busy from 12:00 midnight until I finally got through -- at 9 the next morning! Yeesh, what we do for love!!!
When tickets went on sale for Paul Newman in Our Town in Connecticut-they actually broke the exchange from the sheer volume of calls. Expect this will be the same.
I could travel to NYC only to see this, Hugh on stage is a unique experience ! But I can't, damn my finances !! I am sure that, all of you who will see it, will have an incredible time !!!
Thanks -- I guess I was concentrating on the first day of previews, not the date that AE tickets go on sale. I was getting ready to call in sick tomorrow -- won't be necessary, now. Thanks for pointing that out.
It is interesting to note that according to the BWW report ( see the BIOGRAPHIES section), Hugh Jackman will be playing the role of DENNY and Daniel Craig will assume the role of JOEY.
I'm a little new at the whole buying-tickets-before-the-play-opens thing. Every Broadway show I've ever bought tickets for has been a show that's already been running for at least a few months.
So can anyone tell me -- will there be any discount codes available, or are those of us trying to buy ASAP going to have to pay full price?
Thanks for any advice. I'm responsible for buying tickets for a group of my friends, so I'd like to get us all the best deal I can.
I totally agree with Without a Trace. This pair is practically critic-proof and cheap seats just won't be there. Remember what happened when Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick were in The Odd Couple -- the show was totally sold out for its run before it had started previews -- and the combo of Jackman/Craig is going to be more powerful than Lane/Broderick (no disrespect to either of them). I think it's a case of biting the bullet and paying full price, plus charges. I know that's a bitter pill, but sometime it must be swallowed.
That's really rough on people who don't have them. I know my dad will let me borrow his, but if I couldn't do that, I'd be pretty unhappy over the whole thing.
