It's #43 in the UK iTunes album chart and #1 in the UK 'soundtrack' chart - not bad considering there's no advertising, no show to go and see in London etc.

Glad to hear you like it! Let this be a lesson to those who keep saying this show would never play well to a British audience.

I think the story might be a tough sell to a British audience, I mean, we don't care about our own politics most of the time (except today, when we found out that our PM may or may not have done something gross to a dead pig back when he was in rich boy school) so why should we care about some bloke most probably haven't heard of and what h

I'm in the UK and just do not have the finances to be able to get out to New York for the forseeable future but I love the idea of this show, have loved the promos and snippits of the music that have been about and so I've been really looking forward to hearing the cast recording. I've had it playing constantly since Lin posted it lunch time our time and I'm completely in love with it. It's made me want to be totally irresponsible and spend the money to get out to New York

Idina Menzel World Tour

I think there might be a bit of a culture/country thing here too (I'm in the UK) - because I've never heard of not expecting a concert to start on the time stated on the ticket regardless as to whether or not there is an opening act. Okay, yes 5 or so minutes is fine but I go to loads of concerts and if the act isn't on stage by about 15-20 minutes after it's stated on the ticket the slow handclapping starts. Even Lady Gaga was bang on time when I saw her - and U2 were also pr

I'll admit that I've been an Idina Menzel fan for a good 12 years now and have seen her perform when she has come over to the UK with her solo concerts - including on this latest tour. That being said I agree to some extent with some of the comments on here - not so much about ego (or perhaps it is ego) but professionalism with the being late issue. As far as I can work out I've seen her in concert 4 times and 3 of those times she was late on stage - and I'm not talking a coup

I thought Idina and Michael both sounded fine, it was just that the performance looked really under rehearsed which I imagine it was. I can't think of a worse idea performance wise than when you know you've got a tiny timescale to get over to the UK, do a couple of shows and get back to the US than to do a duet. At least if you sing on your own you can just stand there and sing rather than try to interact with someone else which just looks really awkward when there seems to be no plan. It felt f
