How are the injured actors compensated while they are out of the show? Is there an insurance policy to provide compensation, or do they lose their compensation––or a portion of their compensation––while they are out of the show? Just wondering how it is feasible for them to make a living while out of the show, but still remain committed to returning to the show when well.

Supportivemom, I couldn't agree more w/your comments. While there may have been errors here and there w/some of the other contestants, Bailey's errors were frequent and glaring. And did you read any of the posts on her blog? Don't know if there is a line that doesn't include a run-on, fragment, error in conjugation, etc. I'm not being picky here. You don't have to be able to conjugate ("had came") verbs––or write complete sentences––or have a firm grasp on the English language (verbal comments & blog) to be cast in a Broadway role that could require you to ad-lib in the shoes of a Harvard law student. Yikes!

Does anyone think it's plausible that Jerry Mitchell showed for the first episode, watched the auditions, decided who he wanted, and then told folks to add as much drama as they wished as they proceeded to arrive at his choice? Could it be that the dye was cast for Bailey as Elle at the very beginning? This would certainly help to explain some of the odd reasons for cuts, the talented folks left behind, the order of cuts, and the choices of numbers to be performed during specific episodes.

The point about some folks in the theater community "looking down on reality shows" is well-taken. In addition, of course, many folks in the theater community understand that the editing of these shows can make a contestant appear incompetent/rude/classless/obnoxious, etc., when the contestant might not actually possess such qualities. Does anyone see any significance here? Looks as though Lauren was in Hair in MI in June. Still, this doesn't seem to have any relevance to whether she wins or goes on tour. She might have slipped in this show after the TV show aired, but before rehearsals for her role in LBTM started.

Re the "best/worst" questions that caused such a commotion at the beginning of the episode and were never addressed again: Nothing at all to base this on in fact––just a thought, but if the powers-that-be were thinking of Autumn as the likely winner at that point, what is the possibility that someone connected w/the show might have taken her aside to suggest that she revise the "best/worst" questions––in order to engender good will for her and illustrate her "Elle-ness"?
