re: Best Conversation Starters at Shows?

"Lol ditto, even though I'm 19 I look about 13.

My favorite comment: "Aww, do your parents know you're here by yourself and not in school?"
Me: "Yeah, I'm 18, my parents know I'm here, and my college is over for the year already."
Person: "Oh, thank goodness, I thought you were cutting Junior High to be here!" "

LOL! One time at an evening performance(I went alone because I can't get my friends into Broadway stuff)a man asked me "You aren't running away from home are yo

Thank you so much for posting! I hope I get to see it, I've always wanted to see Songs For a New World! I just love the music.
re: In one week Legally Blonde will be a 'peice' of Broadway history...

I completely agree. I saw the show last week and I loved it, it was so much better than I was expecting. The singing and dancing was amazing! I couldn't believe how well trained the two dogs in the show were! It makes me sad that I won't get to see it again, and I really wish I had thought to see it earlier.

re: OMG! I went backstage!

I've never been backstage and I'm jealous of all you who have! That's so cool! I'm hoping to see A Tale of Two Cities sometime soon. My friends who saw it said it was really good. With these James Barbour comments, do we know for sure he actually did that, or is there still some doubt?
Tale of Two Cities Matinee Stage Door
 Oct 9 2008, 05:08:41 PM
I was thinking about seeing the show on a Wednesday matinee and I was wondering if anyone came out. I heard that not many people come out during matinees(with Broadway in general), but I was just wondering if anyone had any luck, and if so, who came out. Thanks in advance for any help.

I've only heard the cast recording, but I would love to see it. Does anyone know if it's sung-through musical or if there is dialogue in the middle of songs, if so how much dialogue?
rush tickets in general
 Sep 30 2008, 04:04:04 PM
From what I've read in the past(although the messages I read were from several months ago), things have gotten pretty crazy for student rush tickets. I was wondering if it's still equally crazy? I want to see a play on Thursday night, but the earliest I can get in the city is 6:30PM or so. Are there any shows that have rush tickets that I could still get tickets at that late of a date? I had my heart set on Spring Awakening or The Little Mermaid, but it looks like it's difficult to get rush tick
