I saw the show 3 times. Twice last year with Laura and Max, and last month with the new leads. I can honestly tell you that I liked L & M much better. The voices were better, the energy were fresher. It was also my very first Broadway show, so it was rather magical, and the memory could never be replaced with anything else. For the current cast, I was surprised and impressed with Ace Young. His fans would be proud. Now that I've seen many other Bway shows, I can understand why Grease was ripp...

My sister and I are coming to NYC next May. I started looking up tickets for West Side Story and Billy Elliott, with both offering seats for center orch., but in rows like p, q, and t... Should I grab these tickets now or do I wait? Does TicketMaster release better seats as the date gets closer? I have no idea how the system works, so if you have any insights, I'd appreciate the help! Thanks!!!

My 5 (a boy), 8 and 10 year old just saw Mary Poppins and Little Mermaid and loved them both! My son had a hard time sitting thru Mermaid, but focused pretty well thru M.P., probably because there were real kids on stage, compared to Mermaid with people dressed in costumes. Wicked can be a bit scary for young kids, my 8-year-old was frightened the first time she saw it.

Oh, I thought the current revival was raunchy enough, especially when Kenicki and Rizzo get going at it... I was relieved that they were blocked by some other characters during the song "Mooning", as my 10-year-old girl already had her face buried in her hands...

Well, as a "tourist", we saw "Jersey Boy" and "Xanadu". This year, we saw Mary Poppins, Little Mermaid, Legally Blonde, Wicked, and I took my girls back to see Grease. To be honest, Grease of course lost some of its magic for me this time around, but to have my kids in NYC and to make an impression on their young minds, fulfilled the purpose of why we even went. We also took a 4 hr. walk in Central Park and that was just MAGICAL - a precious time with my family that I'll never forget!

Thanks!! People on this board scare me, so I usually just read and go away. :) It can be a great board though as I gather diff. opinions and plot out what we'll see next year when we return to NYC. My husband just bought me tickets to "9 to 5" here in LA for my birthday, and I'm looking forward to seeing it this Saturday!!

I'm sorry, but I'm soooo sick of you guys ripping Grease to pieces. Granted, it is not the best musical I've ever seen, but because of the tv show, I made the trip out to NYC for the first time last year to see it, in addition to seeing 2 other musicals. I completely fell in love with NYC, and brought my family back this last month. And the 5 of us saw 5 shows, that's 25 tickets at $100 a pop, totally $2500, not counting what we spent on hotel, food, visits to museums, etc.. And we're already...
