Laura Benanti to replace Lauren Ambrose in MY FAIR LADY
 Jan 19 2019, 01:01:20 PM

I saw Laura last night and Kerstin about a week ago. I wouldn't say either is better than the other - I very much enjoyed them both. I thought Laura looked more comfortable in the role and was a little looser on stage (in a good way). I liked the way Kerstin did Eliza's accent in the first act better, especially when singing. I could go scene by scene and song by song and say Kerstin was better in this but Laura was better in that but the bottom line is I greatly enjoyed both of them

Does this post miss the mark? Yes

But what's with all the I-miss-it-being-okay-to-say-racist things and let's attack people trying to make society a better place for everyone takes? Didn't know this board was an extension of Breitbart.

MY FAIR LADY Lottery

I won on my first try this Wednesday. Don't know if I just got lucky or if it's become easy to win. First time I've ever won a ticket lottery. It was an understudy-heavy performance but that wasn't announced in time for the lottery so I don't think that had an effect.

Seats were six rows from the stage all the way on the left side. We missed one o

I hope you're okay with the high risk of missing Hadestown that Wednesday. Flying into either JFK or LaGuardia is a mess right now. Delays are constant, gates don't open up in time, etc. Perhaps you get lucky and actually land at 11 but you may not make it out of the airport until noon, especially if you're checking a bag. Then if you're at LaGuardia, catching a cab or Uber with all the current construction is insane and it may take another half an hour to get into the cab and

I'm okay with the way they do them. It would be a hassle to go down a list until you get winners, instead of the neat automated thing they have now. Why not give them instead to the people who waited out in the cancellation line all day.

Are you 30 or under? In that case, you can "pay your age" plus fees.

Seems like a lot of work to try and sell it online from Australia if you're unable to use StubHub or TM Resale - that leaves, what, eBay and Craigslist? Which are the ones everyone is always warned away from using, because of the high rates of fraud.

So, I walked by the theatre

No that's a range. I got my mezzanine tickets during the presale for $139 each I think (that may be including fees). Considering that was for side seats at the front of the rear mezz (weird thing to say), I doubt there will be many $82 tickets.

When to show up for Hamilton matinee lotto?
 Jun 15 2016, 12:34:52 PM

Amazing. The line today wen all the way down 46th, a block down 8th Ave, then almost to 7th on 45th. I can't imagine they got all those names down by 12:30. Estimating the number of people, your individual chances of winning tickets were probably something like 0.5% today.

Do people actually show back up at 11:30 pm and the video strategy is working, or do people try to continue the line across the street (despite being kicked out the first tim

They wanted Wednesday tix so they passed on all tix. However the people third and fourth in line arrived Sunday night and were not offered any tix. Very few premiums went out last night.

Part of the line is paid linesitters who switch off with someone who didn't wait. Another part took turns going home/to a hotel to shower and change before the show. You have nothing to worry about.

Very few tickets were given out today. Almost none were given out before 7PM. There are people who got in line Sunday night who didn't get tickets. The line for Wednesday is quite large already. This week is going to require a lot of patience and luck.

So this is interesting. The line gets cut off right now after 20 people. So if you're looking to show up to wait for tickets for tomorrow or even Thursday's show, you're out of luck. That doesn't seem to have stopped people as there are a whole bunch gathered behind the barrier. The question is - what is going to happen when the line reforms after today's people get tickets? Will the people who stuck around despite instructions to leave be first (after anyone in line who d

I just went by the line. It's probably 20 people deep already (from what people told me - apparently the entire front of the line was out to lunch or in a bathroom). People getting tickets for Tuesday will have likely spent two nights in line. People are already lining up for Wednesday. That said, spirits seem high and most people seem genuinely happy to be there and enjoying the good weather.

I was going to get in line after work tomorrow for Wednesday's shows but it look
