I think I just sh*t my pants. I can't believe this is actually happening. TAKE. MY. MONEY.

I know it says performances start 10/23 but that’s a Tuesday and Laura won’t be performing Tuesday... do we know if it’s safe to say that Laura will be performing *that* Tuesday and not any of the others? Or would Laura’s first show be 10/24?
I saw both Kerstin and Lauren and I loved them both. I’d just like to make sure I’m definitely dropping $$ on Benanti’s Eliza, though!
Where are the naysayers who slammed Ambrose for doing 7 shows a week? Do they apply the same standard to Benanti?
I really wish it would be filmed with Ambrose in it. Her nuanced performance is a breath of fresh air that the show desperately needs if it wants to persuade the broader audience that golden age musicals are still worth going back to and digging into. Plus her nuances will translate pretty well on camera. Haven’t seen Benanti’s performance so I couldn’t say much about it, but I hope she’ll get enough time to explore the piece with Sher and the rest of the cast before going on stage.
I'm so happy for Laura! You're right that in the NYT article it stated Kerstin Anderson will be playing Eliza on Tuesdays... but Oct 23rd is a Tuesday.
Right now, however, Kerstin performs as Eliza on Sunday matinees.
Well, I hope all the people who have been complaining for about a year are happy now. I wonder how many will complain about Benanti doing 7 shows a week. I bet Benanti won’t get the crap Ambrose got for it.
Also, Harry Hadden-Paton will be away from Sept 22 to Oct 21 to film the Downton Abbey movie. It'll be interesting to see Laura Benanti and Harry Hadden-Paton on stage on Oct 23 (or 24) given they barely had time to rehearse with each other. I understand they're both professionals though and this happens all the time but still I'm curious!
