re: THE NEXT EVA PERON

Nov 5, 2004 — 11:16:43 PM

I think Idina'd be SO GREAT as Eva! Antonio Banderas as Che of course...he rocks....Maybe Hugh Jackman as Peron and someone...else as...MAgaldi. And as Peron's Mistress...I don't know...Maybe an older Addison Timlin (from Gypsy)..when she's about seventeen?

re: EVITA tour

Nov 4, 2004 — 10:30:34 AM

I can't wait for the Evita tour to come to Philly! I am getting a whole group of friends together to come and see it with me....It's annoying that we have to wait for the show for so long, though! /grr/

re: The greatest line or lyric ever said/sung on a stage

Nov 4, 2004 — 10:08:28 AM

I think the second part of the Lament from "Evita"(as heard in the Concept Album) is beautiful. "the choice was mine, and no one else's. I could have the masses(millions?) at my feet....Give my life to people I might never meet, or else, to children of my own. Remember, I was very young then...Thought I needed the numbers on my side. Thought the more that loved me, the more loved I'd be, but such things cannot be multiplied...." Sorry for any typos...the school's keyboards....don't rock my so...

re: Come back to Broadway, Michael Ball!

Nov 2, 2004 — 10:19:50 AM

Michael Ball=Jean Valjean? Never occurred to me. It might be interesting! Sorry to disagree, but I just don't see Lea Salonga as a Fantine....but that's just me.

re: What is your least favorite musical?

Nov 2, 2004 — 9:57:38 AM

Don't all hate me but I cannot STAND "The King and I". Perhaps it was because I saw only a very unprofessional high school production of it, but the performance makes me cringe everytime I hear "Getting To Know You".
