Broadway and grammar are both gone to the dogs.

I think it's because Michael Manheim, James D. Stern, Douglas L. Meyer, Marc Routh, Richard Frankel, Thomas Viertel, Steven Baruch, Annette Niemtzow, Daryl Roth, Robert G. Bartner, Patricia Monaco, Steven and Shanna Silva, Debi Coleman, Dancap Productions, Inc., Steve Kaplan, Relativity Media, LLC, Rich Entertainment/JDC Investments and Center Theatre Group, Michael Palitz, Melissa Pinsly/Celine Rosenthal, Independent Presenters Network, Christina Papagjika, Broadway Across America, Diana Buckhantz, Pamela Cooper, Endgame Entertainment, Vera Guerin, Leading Investment Co., Ltd, Richard J. Stern, Victor Syrmis, Semlitz/Glaser Productions, Jujamcyn Theaters, and Rebecca Falcon got their friends and colleagues to cough up enough dough to put it there.

The Raul should have flipped them the bird long ago.

The audience I saw it with loved it. Great reception after each song. Standing ovation at the end. The actors had to hold the scene following Raul's 11 o'clock number because of the continuous applause.
I'm finding it hard to understand why (given that there is another thread about this show) someone has the arrogance and ego to create a new one just to give their opinion? Get over yourself.

"You think your all so intelligent and sophisiticated."
Your right, I know I do. Do you want to know my secret? If you present yourself as sophisiticated, people respond to you as if you are. It becomes a chicken-egg thing.

Well, if it does succeed than Broadway has truly gone to the dogs
Then
You think your all so intelligent and sophisiticated.
You're
I, for one, won't be seeing this till Patti is cast as the Leap.
I heard she'll only do it if Mandy is cast as "Faith".

"The audience I saw it with loved it. Great reception after each song. Standing ovation at the end. The actors had to hold the scene following Raul's 11 o'clock number because of the continuous applause."
Well, the night I saw it, the audience stormed the stage, stripped The Raul naked, covered him with honey, and shaved him clean as a baby. They then made him do that 11:00 number over and over again until it was 2:00 (AM), and then they took turns licking him. People began attacking one another like chickens in a coop; feathers and blood were flying everywhere. They then carried The Raul home, singing "Being Alive" and bearing torches the whole way. Any other actor who dared get in their way was met with unspeakable atrocities. I don't even want to remember what they did to Elaine Stritch.

You all wish you can get a glimpse of "the" Raul naked.

Leap of Faith was my 350th Broadway show! It was the forth time since 1970 that I left at intermission. Couldn't hack it!
And even having once seen Raul naked..the memory wasn't enough to keep me in my seat. Torture.

I think that the best place to get huffy about the people here trash-talking and having no lives is probably anywhere other than the thread you started to TRASH TALK A SHOW.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."

Once a Month, thanks. It's nice to see that others see my point as it is clearly the opinion that matters. I would have walked at intermission if it weren't for the fact that I brought my friend from Cali who has't got the chance to see many Broadway shows. Too bad she had to see this one.

As I was watching this dreadful musical I really wished I could have rewind the clock 4 years and Patti would be back on the same stage as Mama Rose. What a difference 4 years makes.

Good God. We get it! How much longer are you going to bitch and moan about a show you didn't like? Christ, I'll give you the 29 bucks for it. Just shut the hell up already.

If you only want to read goodstuff about LOF, start a Leap Love Only thread, cause that always works out well.
P.S. I've seen the Raul aunatural (not on purpose) and it ain't no big thing.

lupone76, welcome to the world of the Broadway Bomb. I asked the same question dozens of times during my fervent theatergoing days. It seems nowadays producers just can't stand the idea of a Broadway house sitting empty for more than a day.
