Anyone know why If/Then has no tickets for sale for shows Jan 26th - Feb 2nd?

I believe Idina is doing something and they did not want a understudy to play Beth during that time.
Have no fear. Wait a few weeks & it should be on TDF.

Isn't that period in the middle of Broadway Week? Maybe that's good timing for a vacation...

I didn't see that? They seem to be for sale on Ticketmaster.
No they aren't. You can't get a ticket for that entire week.

My bad. Couldn't see that on mobile sight.
Don't they still have to pay everyone? How does this save them money?
The salary costs might be lower than the net loss of the complete running costs minus expected revenue without Idina.

Under the Equity contract they are allowed to schedule a certain number of lay-off weeks as long as certain other conditions are met, including still making health and pension contributions.
I don't know about the agreements with the other unions, but I would imagine it is much the same.
Also after a certain amount of weeks working at the same venue, you're granted a week's paid vacation. So they could just all use that.
Not unheard of. Kinky Boots took a week off last spring because Telemundo rented the house, and The Boy From Oz took a week off instead of putting on Hugh's understudy for a week, when he had to do publicity for Van Helsing.

Interesting that they chose to do it in the middle of Broadway week where they might have had full houses. Or maybe it's good planning since they would stand to make only half of what they normally would with the BOGO tix.

I'm inclined to believe the latter. Besides, Menzel hasn't had a substantial vacation yet. Or Menzel really does have something planned during that week, but I sure can't think of anything (filming of Frozen short is done, no more xmas album promotion).
Wasn't there a chance of her reprising on the last season of Glee?

If there were rumors vis-a-vis Glee, I'm sure the bloggy-news sites would have gotten hold of that bit by now. And given the poor ratings for the recent Glee opener, keeping news about Menzel under wraps doesn't really make sense to me.
As is posted, this isn't unprecedented, and it makes good sense. Plus, though Menzel missed partial weeks (4 performance once, based on prior or contract-set commitments), did she ever have a full week off? I don't think so. This may have been part of a larger plan for a long time. It gains more attention because it's a month before the final performance.
For the record, I was there yesterday afternoon, full company in, full house, the show (and its star) in superb shape. Vocally and otherwise. Very focused and committed work, notable for the 8th show in a week. La Chanze was full throttle, the men all very much connected to the piece and its sometimes odd demands on them (both Synder and Rapp have strange half-scenes around their crises with this woman, sometimes forced to walk into a beat, announce a problem or decision, and then ... blackout). Yes, it's an imperfect show, but delivers a lot of genuine entertainment and emotional payoff. And a score that can be wonderful in places, odd and off-point in others (the Rapp/Tam duet in act two is just a clunky non-moment that means nothing and merely gives Tam something to do otherwise lacking; and a peculiar melody that doesn't land.). People get very teary in then end. And it was cheered to the rafters, huge responses throughout. It felt very much like an audience in the first 6 weeks of a run.
Guess we know why now, with Idina doing the national anthem at the Super Bowl on Feb. 1.

Stated explicitly:
https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/IFTHEN-Cancels-Performances-127-21-For-Idina-Menzels-Super-Bowl-Performance-20150116
"IF/THEN has just announced that it will have no performances January 27 - February 1 to accommodate Idina Menzel's rehearsal and travel schedule for her performance of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 1.... Performances will resume on Tuesday, February 3. Ticket holders for performances January 27 - February 1 will be rescheduled into another performance."
Related to the other thread about this, if there will be rehearsals, then Menzel will most likely sing live, right? Coincidental timing with the Broadway Week discounts is probably a good thing...
You can see If/Then for 40% all the time, so a week of having some 50% off tickets would be of little concern.
I'm sure they would let If/Then offer 2-for-1 tickets on another week, if they were planning to participate.

There's that. These months are just so low in general that ultimately I guess it's better for them to go dark, but I did see a number of performances where If/Then is listed with the 2-for-1 deal. A week for rehearsals, though--at first I forgot about that dark week and thought Menzel would only miss Sunday, but Super Bowl is a big deal, huh. :P
