I am surprised that no one has created a musical based on the cult film "Times Square" from 1980. The two lead characters, Nicky Marotta and Pamela Pearl, could so easily have songs written around them. With the success of "American Idiot", "Times Square" could easily be adapted into a musical. The storyline has a punk rock ethic and the father of the Pamela Pearl character is behind the revitalization of Times Square (and the building of the Marriott Marquis), while the two girls represent the gritty side of New York.
Replicas of Jody Foster's womanhood could be sold to men at the souvenire stand along with masks of the mens faces from the film. Then married couples can reenact it at home.
If you don't mind taking it as it turns out, it's a fine, fine LIFE!
