I'm still holding out hope for a Sher helmed revival of The Sound of Music - with the rise of neo nationalism in the US it is certainly in the "hold a mirror to modern society" vein that Sher's previous R&H revivals have been, and it hasn't been on Broadway in 20 years.

We just may see a Sher helmed SoM sooner than later at LCT

Camelot has a beautiful score, but I don't know many people who don't think the show itself is an overlong slog.

I'd love to see Sher do a big, lush Sweeney with Michael C Hall and Olivia Colman.

I would hope they would pick something more original than The Sound of Music.
