I'm sure Streetcar is more marketable, but I'm a little bit surprised he's not coming over with Cock, tbh. Keep Jonathan Bailey alongside him and you could probably sell some tickets.

Are you sure? I don’t believe that’s true. The official statement was due to family/personal reasons (sick relative). But it always felt a little disingenuous because for those that DID see him he apparently didn’t seem fully comfortable, and this kind of work schedule actually probably works for sick relatives (maybe not if they live in different cities though).

I saw Frecknell's production of Streetcar and had the opposite reaction to Jordan. I LOVED Patsy Ferren and was less than thrilled with Pascal. However, I saw the second preview so I'm sure he must have gotten better. Also...I've never liked a Stanley (besides Brando in the movie). Ben Foster was the only one that came at all close for me. I adored Meghann in White Lotus, but if we are to get this Streetcar I'm sad Patsy, whose Blanche was not the traditional almost-grand-dame-southern-bell played by all these too-old actresses (including Cate, whose real triumph was her Hedda!!!) but the sad, probably bi-polar "spinster-at-30" girl in the script, won't get to make her Broadway debut (besides the few performances she gave as Honey) in this defining role.

Right, the official reason he left was because he had to attend to a sick family member who, likely didn't live in London. I believe, he had also missed a week or two of performances due to covid, as well, which is probably why he felt uncomfortable in the show. It was likely difficult for him to keep up after missing performances.

I think most people had the opposite reaction to her performance than I did lol. I’m seeing her in “Pygmalion” in a couple weeks and I am really looking forward to seeing her in another role.

Not sure, but don't ask who Fahy is. Fahy-Hive will absolutely soil themselves.

Funny. When I saw this thread had been bumped I immediately thought the "WhO iS mEghAnN FaHy???" brigade would soon be back to crow about her irrelevance based on their ignorance. (I didn't even watch that show and even I know who she is. People wouldn't shut up about it for weeks.)

During an interview on the Emmys red carpet on Monday, she was asked something along the lines of what she would like to do/what would be her dream role if/when she returns to Broadway, and she very quickly said "Once."

The play Fahy was meant to do was FIRE SEASON alongside Billy Crudup (from Apple TV’s Hello Tomorrow and The Morning Show) and Victor Garber. She participated in a reading of it last year. Streetcar was the popular rumor, but have it on good authority it was Fire Season which was then delayed.

From the playwright’s official website: “Her new play FIRE SEASON, a provocative thriller adapted from Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, will premiere on Broadway in 2024 with a star-studded cast, directed by Trip Cullman and produced by Bruna Papandrea, Eva Price, and Joanna Coles.”
