Are theatrical workshops open to the public? Can you buy tickets? For example, I'm interested in seeing the workshop of "Elf" being present in November. How would I go about doing that? Thanks!

Very often they are NOT open to the public. They are looking for producers to help bring them to the next step. They are not yet looking for fans.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

The workshop stage of a developing project is very personal and intimate and a time when creative minds are working and creating... which many times leads to disagreements and clashes of minds. Often quite vocal.

I can only imagine how LIMITED one would be to expressing himself if there was a paying public waiting and watching to witness every single screaming match between composer and director, etc.

Um no... workshops are NOT open to the public and for good reason.
