Elizabeth Stanley who was playing Dyanne in Million Dollar Quartet is doing an Off-Broadway show right now. However, the official website says that she is still playing Dyanne and there was no announcement of her replacement. http://www.milliondollarquartetlive.com/broadway-cast.html
Are the two understudies Victoria Matlock and Nicolette Hart sharing the role right now?
As far as I know, Stanley is still doing the matinees. I believe Matlock is doing the evening performances, with Hart just brought in as a temporary cover while the switch is going on.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
-John Guare, Landscape of the Body
She WAS doing matinees up until 3/13. Along with Levi Kreis, the 13th was her last day. As far as I know, Victoria Matlock has taken over the role full-time.

I think this role and Cindy Lou in "The Marvelous Wonderettes" are much better fo her than Elphaba. Her Elphaba had very little character and she always had trouble keeping up with the melody when she sang those songs.
I do think Victoria is great in other roles, but I think Taylor Swift is more consistant at singing live in concerts and award shows than Vicotria was at singing Stephen Schwartz's songs every night. This is coming from a big Taylor Swift fan. Updated On: 3/22/11 at 10:48 AM
They just upped Victoria to full time last month why would they make that announcement if Elizabeth was coming back? Makes no sense - the website is not right.

We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
How is this show? The only things I know about it are from the official website and I don't know anyone else who has seen it. I was thinking of seeing it tomorrow possibly.
"Let's admit one thing right upfront: With the possible exception of Bernadette Peters, not everyone stays young and cute forever." (NYPost 2/2/05)
Its terrible in my opinion. Had there been an intermission I probably would have left. Nothing happens, it has a horrible book and terrible direction.

Thanks for posting this. I debated on seeing it next weekend since it's up for 50% on TKTS. I thought something was fishing that the site listed so many of the OBC still in the show. Now I know I don't have to bother! :)
