I think this thread is an appropriate way to address the issue. On the other hand, exchanges like this, in threads that aren't otherwise about grammar and spelling, irritate me:
Poster A: I think Fun Home will win a lot of Tony's.
Poster B: Win a lot of Tony's what?
I always feel like saying to Poster B, "are you really so stupid that you can't figure it out, or are you just being a dick?"
But I don't do that, because I don't want to compound Poster B's disruption of the thread with my own pet peeve.
