How will this be live-action? Considering it's Favreau, who did the recent Jungle Book movie, I would guess it'd be mostly CGI for the animals, but since The Lion King doesn't have any human characters like Jungle Book did, wouldn't that make this whole movie CGI rather than live-action? Or are they planning on doing CGI animals in live backgrounds?
Could be good, in any case. I had my reservations about the Jungle Book movie, and am a bit tired of Disney's obsession with making live-action remakes of their entire animated catalog now, but I will admit the Jungle Book was beautiful and I loved it. So I'll trust they know what they're doing and will be able to make this work as well.
Thanks Call_me_jorge for pointing that out. I wasn't aware a thread already existed on the topic. In all honesty, I should have done a search before posting.
I loved "The Jungle Book" live action remake as well. My guess it's going to be a complete CGI generated film, and if it is then it technically can't be labelled a "live action" film.
Yet this thread has more replies, so I am going to pick it as the main one.
Back on topic: WILL IT EVER STOP?! There's seriously no need for this when as others have said all the characters will likely be CGI so it's pretty much going to be an animated movie.
