Ooh! This is great. I thought Thom Sesma was a standout in Pacific Overtures, and in a role that wasn't particularly showy. I think he'll be an excellent Sweeney. I wonder if he is the first Asian American man to play Sweeney Todd in a major production.

And I know Triplett is a reliable pro too, though I've only ever seen her in The Last Ship.

Triplett will be great. In addition to The Last Ship and Jolson in London years ago, I also saw her in 2016 in The Life of the Party, a show celebrating Andrew Lippa. She had a number which required her to come into the audience and move thru several rows interacting with people which she did very playfully. She's perfect for this.

I’m sure they’re both talented and will do a great job, but I just can’t get as excited about either of those two leads as I did the previous replacements (Carmello, Lewis, Panaro).

Tighe is outstanding. Of all those mentioned in the new cast, I'd be most excited to see him.

I'm still waiting for Victoria Clark's Lovett. Hopefully we'll see it sometime in this production.

This, please. Although I am excited for Sally Ann Triplett. She'll be wonderful. Unfortunately, I have never heard of the new Sweeney.
