I was looking at ticket prices for the Music Man for the beginning of August and I realized that for some days the tickets are cheaper than normal. Is there a reason for this? I noticed that there are a lot of seats available, but are Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster scheduled to perform these shows?
Hugh has Labor Day week off, as well as a week in August. Tickets are not on sale for those weeks. Barring any last minute changes, they are both scheduled.
It may be that the demand for MUSIC MAN is finally starting to taper off a little bit, at least at the absurdly high premium prices. And its numbers can afford to drop a bit.
Do we have any sense of how close the show is to recoupment? My guess is not very close, still.
