Cast vacations?

Does anyone know if it is possible to learn when main cast members are on vacation or otherwise not appearing for an extended period of time?  They did this for DEH.  Is the time around the Christmas holidays a likely time for cast members to be out?  With ticket prices as high as they are, I want to minimize the chance that the three main characters will be out.  Thanks

Only if the leads are billed above title will they be posted. Like Josh Groban has his vacations for Sweeney Todd posted on the website and on all ticket sites. If they aren't billed above title, you are pretty much out of luck. If you follow the actors on social media, sometimes they will post it there or at least give indications that they aren't performing in the upcoming days.

Actors are seldom given the ok to take vacation around Xmas... especially above the title.

Sickness, of course, can't be predicted.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

If you are a Twitter/X user, follow @UnderstudySlip and @BroadwayCovers.

Both are fantastic in updating if there are going to be understudies on that day, but also will post when some cast vacations are happening.

(Sometimes, shows don't want to understudies to post when they go on in advance if they are covering a star because it may affect sales.)
