It's super rare for me to not take a listen to at least 1 or 2 songs on a newly released Broadway cast album, but there is not one song in this show I want to revisit after sitting through it live. Just extremely generic.

I think the score sounds a bit better on this album than it is live, though still not entirely memorable. The seven co-leads give the same great performances (especially Pearce), with some solid support from Samayoa and Sastre.
This is another one of those musicals with a pop-rock base that dips into some Broadway balladry, common in many a contemporary tuner. Generic at times here, but not without some standout moments. The "sha-la-la" vamp is now stuck in my head.
As referenced by Jesse Green in his opening night review, I think the instrumental refrain of "Today Is" is very cleverly done — sounds like a piano scale exercise as the characters undergo their daily routines. Solid orchestrations throughout the recording.
You'll probably have to see this live to get the more detailed plot, but the album doesn't suffer from this. There are also various recitative-esque moments that have been left out here.
I look forward to tracking Yandura and Melocik's careers and I hope they have something else in the pipeline. Fact.

Woww!! It sounds so much better on the recording than when I saw it in the theatre.
I hope Liam Pearce has a great career. He’s the only one of the autistic actors that has a Broadway-quality voice. IDK what the directors were thinking when they cast everyone else.

It really is wonderful to hear the full orchestrations once again on this album, though the mixing feels a little bit off IMO.
I still can’t believe I spent the entire show seated right next to Sammi. She’s got a keen eye, and even as I was fully invested in the plot, I couldn’t help but give her a few passing glances throughout. So sweet too!
