I really thought he and Nancy Opel deserved the Tony that year. But then, I thought Urinetown deserved Best Musical as well. Apparently, the score, book, and direction just weren't enough to put it over the top.
"What can you expect from a bunch of seitan worshippers?" - Reginald Tresilian
of coursoe it deserved best musical! with best direction, book and score already in the bag, it's only proper! but of course, they would never give best musical to something with that title. typical american puritanism.
He's actually doing his recurring role in Beauty and the Beast. He was in it a while back before he was in Urinetown. His performance at the Tonys made me want to see Urinetown. My eyes were just glued onto my television set when I saw him. I would love to see him do another NEW musical.
"It's the little things; the details, that distinguish the Barbra Streisands from the Rosalyn Kinds."~Gilmore Girls~
I saw him do Dream True (strange show, but I liked it a lot) at the Vineyards theatre - he was wonderful - and yes, very sexy, great voice and a really good actor.

Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!
