Jeff played the title role in Casa Manana's Music Man in Ft. Worth, TX a few months ago.

I really thought he and Nancy Opel deserved the Tony that year. But then, I thought Urinetown deserved Best Musical as well. Apparently, the score, book, and direction just weren't enough to put it over the top.

Didn't it go up against The Producers?

No, The Producers won the year before Urinetown was up.

And Jeff wasn't even nominated, which I still think is a crime.

I'm seeing Beauty and the Beast tonight, he's one of the few people that could get me there again!

Urinetown was up against Millie, but if were up against Producers, I would still vote Urinetown.

of coursoe it deserved best musical! with best direction, book and score already in the bag, it's only proper! but of course, they would never give best musical to something with that title. typical american puritanism.

He's actually doing his recurring role in Beauty and the Beast. He was in it a while back before he was in Urinetown.
His performance at the Tonys made me want to see Urinetown. My eyes were just glued onto my television set when I saw him.
I would love to see him do another NEW musical.

I agree. I was furious he wasn't nominated for a Tony.

I saw him do Dream True (strange show, but I liked it a lot) at the Vineyards theatre - he was wonderful - and yes, very sexy, great voice and a really good actor.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!
