I'll be in New York from Dec. 29 to January 5th (morning). I'm looking to see a couple off-broadway shows. My open dates are: Dec. 30 and the matinee of Jan. 2. Will I be able to find much or should I just stick with the Broadway shows?

"Rose's Dilemma" starring Mary Tyler Moore.

I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard good things. It's not a musical, it's an OB play.

What kind of theater do you like?
I would see Forbidden Bway it is very funny or The Songs of David Friedman- funny and touching.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I will go see anything. I don't really have much of a preference. I do try to support plays as much as possible.

I second the Forbidden Broadway suggestion. As they say "see 21 shows in 97 minutes".

I am interested in FORBIDDEN BROADWAY. I saw a version of it here in Ohio about three years ago. Valerie Fagan was one of the performers, and she was extremely talented. She was the kind of performer who would catch your attention even if she were doing nothing.
