Maybe about 20ft give or take and depending on how tall she is.

here's some perspective: Chicago's John Hancock Tower is 1,000 feet high-- about 97 stories tall.Even 150 feet is absurd-- roughly 15 stories off the ground. Look at the scale of the people and the stage-- she's what-- 20 feet up?
Really people, don't make these stupid people any stupider.
I was reading yesterday that if Earth gets too close to a black hole, we'd all get to defy gravity! Of course, it would last only a few seconds, because then the planet would disintegrate, but wouldn't that be a cool few seconds?
1,000 feet is absolutely rediculous. the Gershwin's ceiling isn't nearly that tall. I'd say around 20 ft. But I could be off.

The actress' feet probably don't get more than 10 or 15 feet above the stage. Assuming that the actress is 5 feet tall(probably underestimating, that would put her head 15-20 feet in the air, plenty high to provide the illusion of levetation. This also allows the actress' face to be seen, rather than being blocked by the proscenium(perhaps 25 feet tall in some venues?)

"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

I thought I remember reading somewhere that it was 10-12 feet and continued rising until "bring me down" gradually, which I'm assuming is how high the feet are, so between 15-18 feet depending on height, which sounds right.
Just think that these are the people you come to the boards to talk to and enhance your knowledge of theater with! And this is only common measurements. lol sorry that was really nasty, but this is as bad as what I said over the weekend that Dollypop has as their signature.
