okay.so i have a friend coming over in like 10 minutes and her son who is 8 is auditioning for a play... i have tons of vocal/score books....i need to know a good ballad for this boy to sing at the audition.. thanks..T
Is it a play or musical?
If it's a play, there isn't a reason for him to sing at the audition.
The first two ideas that pop into my head are:
Where is love? from Oliver!
and
Anything's Possible from Seussical!
Good luck finding a piece!

I Won't Grow Up from Peter Pan (oops that's not a ballad is it? Maybe Neverland?)
If he's a good vocalist: Round Shouldered Man from The Secret Garden
Anything from Seussical, Honk (maybe 'Different'), Charlie Brown, and Sunday in the Park with George (jk)
I agree with both of musicman117's ideas: "Anythings Possible" and "Where is Love?"
But also, he could do "Alone in the Universe" from Seussical
and maybe..."Not While I'm Around" from Sweeney Todd??
Definantly do "Anything's Possible"
He can't go wrong.
CurtainPullDowner...HILARIOUS. I think, I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I think that just made my day.
