If, as the very popular conservative thinker Mrs. Betty Bowers posits:
k e y b o a r d
narcissistic
personality

_______________
BLOG
how badly must it damage the overinflated ego of a blog publisher to see that no matter how many provocative threads he/she creates and how hard he tries to goad people to respond to his/her blog by taking pot shots at other websites and then posting at said websites in the hopes that he incites a response, ANY response, to see "0 Comments" after "0 Comments" after "0 Comments" after "0 Comments" after "0 Comments" after "0 Comments" after "0 Comments"?
Just wondering. Hypothetically, of course.
Betty Bowers is one of the greats. Leave it to the liberally biased media to ignore her.
At least I am making a effort.
I think a blog is a daily computer journal, or something to that effect. Either that, or a 1950s low-budget sci-fi movie.
true. but considering the time, isn't what you learn going to be gone in 11 minutes anyway?

In one case I know of it stands for blowhard going on and on and on.
It must cause some anger issues to spend time regurgitating the ideas of other people, publish them and get no response. It must be like being Mary Cheney.
Blog stands for WeB Log.
The point of her/his blog, escapes me.

Isn't a blog like a blumpkin only you do it to yourself for your own satisfaction and no one else can get pleasure out of it?

Now I've gotta Google blumpkin.

I love it.
Where's Margo?
Good afternoon, my name is ckeaton, and I have a blog.
*smattering of applause*
More often than not, I see '0 Comments' at the end of posts that I feel are abundant with wit and charm.
It makes me want to lash out at random people. Maybe then, I will get attention from those people. At least as they might go to the blog to see who I am.
Sometime I feel very sad for myself.

Thank you for sharing. That was incredibly brave.
I, too, often go for days without comments to my blog, which is sad since, much like our singing rooster, I log into my blog and see my visitor stats and, a la Jon Stewart, raise my eyes heavenward, lift a fist and shake it, crying, "Why, god!? WHY!?!?!?!?!"

You're very wise to appeal to your higher power.
He doesn't listen, which I suppose proves that particular biblical chapter false.
Perhaps I'll blog about it.
If you throw a blog and no one comes...
I'm afraid of who reads my blog.

I have a feeling you're not the only one.
bway is my resident comment-giver, and I thank him profusely for it.
You know, kind of like those old sight gags where someone is performing, and then it cuts to the audience where you see one person clapping. But damn it, that one person is clapping.

It's better than the poor suckers who have nothing but 0s.
I clap with one hand only, too, Calvin. Doesn't that make it all the more special?
As for our resident crower, I refuse to give him the benefit of my hit on his site, so I haven't gone. However, I feel as if I have thanks to Namo's "Best of Blog" postings.
DD, you have a blog? Where?

If we're talking about the same person, and really THIS thread was purely hypothetical, some of those amazing quotes weren't even from a personal online journal but rather published by a professional educator in his or her official capacity.
Shocking, when you take a good look at the output of people who are entrusted with educating young minds.
