I like a lot of your lists!

"How come you get to name 100 and we 10?"
I don't think many people would be up to typing 100 titles.

"And btw, I'm the biggest movie buff I know....so it'll be nice to strike up a conversation."
Check your PM's.

PS - Why do you hate "Requiem for a Dream"?

Thanks RodneyK! Rather sad that the only modern one is LOTR!
I really did try, I couldnt think of one that i liked better than the ones mentioned. Now if I could name another 90 it might be a wee bit easier. (tee hee)

DUH - of course the Hayley Mills version!! It has Maureen O'Hara in it, after all. re: 10 Favorite Films...

I HATED "Requiem" because of the way it was cut, mainly. I couldn't stomach the ending, either - I was literally speechless for an hour!! Not kidding. But, I do agree that Ellen B. gave an AMAZING performance in it and she was robbed of the Oscar that year.

I suspect a lot of the ones listed below are listed for the sole purpose of "It's classic and I should say I love it" While I do love those, my FAVORITE films would have to include -

The Color Purple
Dead Man Walking
Eyes Wide Shut
Girl, Interupted
The Ice Storm
The Joy Luck Club
Peggy Sue Got Married
A River Runs Through It
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Romy & Michele's High School Reunion
