It was an email (or something) to the OP from a grandmother of 3. The grandkids have diabetes and the grandmother found the OP's story (which was not detailed and remains a mystery) inspirational.

The grandmother then asked for tix to Mary Poppins in San Francisco and wondered if she could meet the OP.

I'm guessing that the OP is a cast member in Poppins who has battled diabetes and hasn't let it stop him/her from pursuing a career in theater.

But it so ambiguous that I'm really not sure. It was obviously posted by mistake.
