"And it's not a sin if a teenager is more interested in newer ones than older ones. Just as there are probably many adults who find the newer ones better. It's just an opinion, has nothing to do with age."
I never said it was a sin. I just said you are missing out on some wonderful stuff. Did you not see my reply to feisnstein? If you did not, please read it, it explains where I was coming from. My personal goal is to inform people who don't know much about theatre, not to bash them. Anyone who has been on this board for a long time knows that. I am still learning quite a bit myself.(Sigh) Why do they twist my words?! Let's put it this way. If you like to watch the Olympics, but only watch the track and field events you are missing out on all the other great sports. Wrestling, swimming and diving, gymnastics, etc. Same with theatre, if you just watch theatre to see the newest big musical, you are missing out on all the smaller off-broadway shows, the plays, the murder mystery theatres, more thought provoking shows. I just don't want people to limit themselves by being close-minded about what is good and what isn't. That is my point, I a not saying you are close minded, but I want to make sure you understand that close-mindedness is not a good thing when it comes to theatre. Does anyone get what I have been trying to say?
My avatar is a reminder to myself. I need lots of reminders...
