2 1/2 Men Done For Good?

^Agreed. It's a fantastic show! I'd say replace Sheen or just make it 1 1/2 Men. The writers could totally get away with having Charlie get plastic surgery or something lol.

Angus Jones is almost 18, so bring in a Cousin Oliver and you could still call it Two and a Half Men.

I think they should take Family Guy's idea.

Sheen is a selfish, sick, moron ...... ONLY CARES ABOUT himself ...... Good Luck to all those people who will soon be unemployed because of HIM !

"ONLY CARES ABOUT himself"

Actually, I think if he cared about himself even a little this situation might not be as horrible as it is.

Yes, I feel sorry for the crew, but TV shows are cancelled all the time.

I would love to see Broadway veterans Jon Cryer, Holland Taylor, Conchata Farrell and Marin Hinkle back on stage.

"Yes, I feel sorry for the crew, but TV shows are cancelled all the time."

Yes, when they are not a hit.

The crew had no warning, and is not making the 1.2 million an episode that Mr. Sheen was making. They basically had their livelihood taken away from them, (and the last time I looked, the job market sucks ass), when they thought there was going to be at least another year of work.

Mr. Sheen was playing himself, in a role that was written to suit his ‘talents’ and for him to say that he turned a tin can into gold is just BS.

I turned the show on last night and saw a scene with him and the child sitting on a couch while Charlie said something along the lines of ‘You used to be cute, now you’re just in the way’.
Angus said, “That was hurtful”
Charlie said, ‘That’s the way life works’ or some other crap like that.

Bottom line. It was appalling. But everyone deserves the chance to work. And Mr. Sheen made sure that HUNDREDS of people no longer have an income.

If anyone in Hollywood hires him for anything, they should have their head examined.

I actually have a weensy problem with anyone--father or no--comparing Sheen's behavior, whatever its cause(s), with having cancer.

The producers are just being spiteful. They didn't have to cancel the rest of the season and put everybody out of work. If they were pissed at Sheen or felt that he wasn't fit to work on the show, they could have written around his character if they wanted to. The producer (Chuck Lorre) started posting snide comments about Sheen after each episode. Naturally, Sheen responded in the negative. I'm not in any way justifying Sheen's behavior, but as far as I'm concerned, what's going on between him and Lorre was instigated by Lorre. And I agree with Sheen about CBS being in breach of contract. He was ready, willing and able to work. Through all of his travails, he always showed up prepared and on time. His work and performance never suffered, and the ratings for the show have never been better. So how exactly were CBS or the producers of the show hurt in any way by Sheen's off-camera behavior? (He's never even been arrested or charged with so much as a misdemeanor.) Seems they'd have to prove that in order to prevail in court, which is exactly where this is headed.

I have to agree with Lucious. Sheen is definitely a freak and a complete jerk, but that doesn't and shouldn't put the show on hold indefinitely.

The producers and the network are the ones who messed with everyone else's job here. Sheen showed up to work, and he hasn't performed badly on set or in front of the camera. There was no need to cancel the rest of the season because of anti-semitic comments or rants of any kind.

They can fire him if they want to, because their feelings were hurt and he insulted the boss, but they should take responsibility for that action. This is a childish reaction to childish behavior.

Also, if the public stops watching the show because he's a completely depraved human being, that's one thing. They haven't done that yet. Not even remotely. And the ratings are the boss's boss.

"Vote him off the island" by not watching the freak's show. But this cancellation of the remaining episodes rests solely on the producers and CBS.

No one else.

"Through all of his travails, he always showed up prepared and on time."

I admit I haven't paid much attention to all this, until it exploded over the last two days, but wasn't he recently taken to the hospital, necessitating some sort of agreement while he went to rehab?

Sheen worked on a film in TO( yrs ago!) and he was a complete professional, regardless of his playtime on his off hours. He was actually nice to the children working on the film. That ability to deliver the goods has been what has kept him employed.

as for Chuck Lorre going on about Charlie Sheen- Mr. Lorre uses his vanity cards to say well almost anything about what he is thinking about at the time. They can be hysterically funny, insightful, and vitrilic- but he does that regardless of who they are Not specifically a mangy dog of a ego struck putz. But sometimes:

When I'm not working on The Big Bang Theory, I work on other TV shows. One of those shows gets a lot of bad press. Sometimes, when I read the very unkind things written about that show, I'll remember the words of a sleazy music manager I was briefly associated with back in my rock 'n' roll days. The guy was right out of central casting. Bald, middle-aged, pot-bellied and sucking on a cheap cigar, he would sit behind his metal desk in his ratty little office and pontificate to dumbass musicians hungry for career guidance. One of his speeches has remained vivid in my memory for thirty-five years. He said, to a soon-to- be-nonexistent, dumbass power trio I was then a part of, "Boyz, if halfs da peoples loves ya, and halfs da peoples hates ya, you're a star!" At the time I had no idea what he was talking about. It wasn't until fifteen years later when I was writing for a TV show called Roseanne that I figured it out. I was once again reminded of all this when the star of the show I was talking about earlier came out for a curtain call in front of a packed studio audience. They went wild with applause. I looked at the man taking the bow and thought, "there is a big star." Then I looked up at the screaming, cheering audience and thought, "there are halfs da peoples"

The Sitcom Writers' Prayer

Lord, if it be thy will, give unto us a story that has lots of comic potential while simultaneously exploring and defining our characters and their relationships (preferably something that hasn't been done on Dick Van Dyke or Friends). If, in thine infinite wisdom, the story you provideth is over-the-top, please help us convince ourselves that we are creating a classic farce so we can look our actors in the eye and explain, with face straight, that jumping the shark is how we demonstrate our love for you. Also make us into a channel through which true and honestly funny dialogue flows to our principal, supporting and guest characters. If, on the day of judgement, thy heavenly words elicit silence from the studio audience, relieve us of our suffering, O' Divine Master, by giving us the strength to tell our friends and family that we are doing a "dramedy." Finally Lord, we call on your infinite mercy, praying that you forgiveth our many network sins, most notably Lenny and Squiggy-style smash cut jokes, and that after we are brought low by the Nielsonites, you lift us up and lead us into the valley of high-concept, vaguely sentimental feature films like thou didst with thine exalted emissary, Judd of Apatow. Amen.

Oh, couple more things: May our directors someday figure out a way to start a restaurant scene that does not require a waiter to walk across the room, and may all those internet residuals we fought for during the last strike start rolling in. Amen redux.

I exercise regularly. I eat moderate amounts of healthy food. I make sure to get plenty of rest. I see my doctor once a year and my dentist twice a year. I floss every night. I've had chest x–rays, cardio stress tests, EKG's and colonoscopies. I see a psychologist and have a variety of hobbies to reduce stress. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I don't have crazy, reckless sex with strangers.

If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm gonna be really pissed.

Does Charlie Sheen know how many struggling actors (who actually care about their craft) would kill for what he has?

I HATE Hollywood actors who are so ungrateful for everything they have!

Charlie Sheen has been fired from the show.

At least Charlie is still holding it together. "This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. Ok, "tigerblood" was kinda cute, but he's got to stop trying to make "warlock" happen.
