i went to the place where i thought everyone was last year @ sheeps meadow, but that area was blocked off & no one was there.
i walked around & got panicky & overheated & then went home & took a nap the rest of the day.

Well an update on the situation as was previously alluded to:
Sheep's Meadow underwent pesticide treatment and was locked off. After circling the perimeter of the park and wandering for a bit, I retreated to the MoMA which was pretty delightful. I missed all you lovelies though and wish things turned out differently, perhaps a reschedule would be in order. Otherwise, see you all at the Market in September!
Nancy: Screw your pass.
Hallguard: Hey... Nancy! No running in the hallways!

The chilled watermelon was spiked and totally AWESOME.
Afterwards, many of us retired to the Ramble.

Posted: 8/12/07 at 2:55amWhy spend noon in the park when you could have see The Talented Mr. Varley performing in THE UNUSUAL SUSPECT? It's a fabulous drawing room murder mystery that provides humor throughout. With clever and catchy tunes, tight directing, and a solid ensemble, plus the best choreographed stage fight I've ever seen, I predict this to become the gem of the Festival.

Another picnic attendee, well the weather was great! Sadly as you have read the meeting spot was locked off.
BUT still had a family picnic anyways! I even brought snickerdoodles to share!
Oh well there is always September. Next year we should have a second spot to meet up at as a just in case scenario.

The only one I tried to organize was the one stymied by the entire sheep's meadow being locked off for fungicide treatment.

I tried to find links to the earlier gatherings, but think they may be lost to time...
Memories!
