<< It was a great series for the sport!

Great series for the Yanks, but for the sport... not too sure.
The series as a whole really didnt have that much drama.
If you look at the games, the only one that was kind of a
nail-biter was Game 2.
Think the entire series changed when AROD hit the 2-run shot off Hamels.
Anyway.... CONGRATS to the Yankees !

This has not been the best sports year for me with the Steelers, Tar Heels, BU Terriers (hockey), Lakers, and now the Yankees winning their championships.
That said congrats to the Yankee fans here. I can't wait for next season to start. I think the Red Sox play the Yankees opening day at Fenway.
I actually like Matsui and I'm glad he won MVP. I thought Rivera would get it for sure.

...I thought there were quite a few 'nail-biting' moments... But, that's just my opinion. I'll be curious to read the sports reports and hear what the sports reporters have to say!
Girly, I have a feeling everyone will be showing up that day!

They just said the parade is Friday!
(Think that should be verified, but... Friday would be a great day for a parade!)

I am dating myself, but I always have the '75 series in my head, so I might be biased... :))
Nail-biting moments--- yes... but, as a whole.
Game 1 was 6-0 at one point. Really wasnt close. 6-1 final.
Game 2- Yanks win 3-1--- Burnett dominates, and Phils dont score after 2nd inning.
Game 3- Hamels looks good early--- gives up the 2-run HR to Arod, and say goodnight after that- 8-5 Final
Game 4 was the Lidge implosion, and the Yanks end up winning by 3 runs.
Game 5 was a Phil blowout for most of the game, until the final
2 innings. Phils end up winning by 2 runs.
Game 6---- Pedro gets rocked, and Yanks coast.
Guess my point is that there were hardly any lead changes, and the only really big exciting comeback of the 6 games was the Yanks off Lidge in Game 4-
Anyway... again... Congrats to the Yanks !

I was there last night and it was incredible! I live not so far away from city hall park so I'll definitely be at the parade!
Kelli's "God Bless America" was particularly gorgeous.
