Haha, I love you, Papa.
The "guy with glasses," people, is Paul McCrane. Respect the awesomeness. The idea of Paul McCrane and Kiefer Sutherland on screen together is just fabulous to me.

doodle - Fox has released the first four hours on DVD, I saw a promo during last night's episode. Supposedly it is available today. Amazon doesn't have it in stock, but perhaps it's elsewhere.
But might be worth looking into if you haven't been able to see the first four hours yet.
For those who have seen it, I was shocked at the end of last night's. WOW.
Was the surprise death indeed a death? Or could that person be seriously injured but still alive? They didn't dwell on it too much so thought that could be the case. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.
I want to know where Jack got a cell phone...we were trying to figure it out at work today. Did he rip it off one of the bad guys after the escape (which was a classic, awesome Jack Bauer moment by the way!)?

^^ Ahhh - how convenient for Jack!
Thanks for the update!
doodle - the first four hours are also on iTunes for purchase if you are still looking for a way to see them!

hehe...my friend's wife works at a video store, so I actually got the DVD early and got to see all 4 episodes on Friday. The DVD also contains the "First Act" of the 5th episode, which looked pretty good to me.
I do think it's weird, releasing those episodes on DVD. And it led to a lot of people leaking it since videostores got them in on Thursday (they just didn't shelve them till Tuesday).
#258re: 24 fans
Posted: 1/17/07 at 7:13pmfrom a cash money standpoint it makes perfect sense. the shows are already gonna be released on itunes so release the dvds, reap those sales and when the season's over release a 24 season 6 special edition with some special features. heck, sell it as many times as you can. with the site that shall remain nameless and file sharing sites, they figure the product is gonna be out there anyway, why not put it out and make some money off it?

Posted: 1/17/07 at 7:19pmOh, I didn't mean not to release it. What I meant was having it on shelves by this Tuesday. Maybe they could have shipped it to stores on Tuesday and have a Friday release? I'm just talking about preventing the leaks.

Kinda makes you wonder what happened to mom. Did she kill herself or get caught in the crossfire?
I bet Jack's older. Younger siblings often have....issues.

Anyone else think Jack's nephew might be his son? Something about the extended look...
And I was also confused why Jack got so violent with his brother so quickly. I know he obviously suspected something, but the way he went to extremes right away, it's almost like he knew his brother was behind everything from last year.

i think jack's lack of trust in his brother probably goes back to why he hasn't seen him since his wife's funeral or even further than that to the estrangement with his father of 9 years ago.
i said to my wife as soon as i saw the kid, "oh, that's totally jack's kid."

Yeah, I thought that as well.
"Jack's kid" looks to be about 10 years younger than his daughter, Kim. So Jack had a bastard son with his sister-in-law while married to Terri?
OK, he's Jack Bauer. There must have been a good reason.
As for the violent response - what, you never beat up on your little brother?
#267re: 24 fans
Posted: 1/23/07 at 9:42amwell, let's remember that jack and terri were on the outs or just getting back together after being on the outs at the beginning of day 1. maybe she had just found out he'd been banging marilyn. something graham said to her to made me think that she was preggers with jack's kid when she married graham.

Logan is still pining away for Martha....he'll cause trouble.
Puzzle of the day: WHY didn't Jack call in to CTU before he calmly headed for the door and got blasted by the consulate security forces? It's not like they hadn't announced their presence.
#273re: 24 fans
Posted: 3/6/07 at 10:47amthe only thing i can come up with moonie is that he was actually going to check the door, not open it. i mean there's no way he actually thought he could just open the door and say, "it's over guys." that bugged the sh*t outta me.

Moonie, I screamed at the tv on that one. He had just hung up with CTU, then got the info, and could've hit redial for cryingoutloud.
And I love how the guard had to go to another room to call CTU...and turn his back to the door. He deserved to be shot.

Yeah, you just knew the guard was going to buy the farm.
I wonder if Sutherland asked himself, while filming that scene, "Hmmmm...what's my motivation here?" The man was adjusting his cufflinks, for God's sake.

I have faith that this season will pick up soon. Just before Logan was revealed as a villian last year, I was bored. And it turned out to be a fantastic season.
