"Let's have some fun with that!"
If only Bruce had given U2 that advice BEFORE they began work on their latest album.
Oh no, my thread is tarnished! I'm raving about the music of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers on the stage, Q!

I think this is what I read Clapton had to skip to have surgery or something.
Who was on the guitar, do you know?

I don't know who you were looking at exactly as I was switching in and out and may have missed other guitarists, but I'll guess you might mean Jeff Beck?
ETA: Who did he play with?

This was a great presentation, despite the fact that it was heavily edited and rearranged from how it actually happened. Jeff Beck did 10 songs and they aired maybe three or four of them and Springsteen and the E Street Band did 17 songs, including three with BIlly Joel. I understand the time constraints, but they could have turned this into a two night event.
I'm hoping for a complete release on DVD.
I recorded it, and watched part of it last night. For what I saw, Simon & Garfunkel were a big highlight, and Sting seemed to be in terrific voice. It was painful to watch Stevie Wonder struggle mightily with lyrics, and surprising that that was left in.
I wasn't even sure of what Stevie was struggling with but it looked serious for a moment. I thought I saw him gesturing for someone to come over and help him. Thank goodness he quickly recovered.
Lioness-It probably was Beck that I'm talking about. The guitar sounded a lot like Clapton's to me at times. Thanks.
Anyone know if this is being released on DVD?
The young woman on bass with Beck was outstanding! Her name is Tal Wilkenfeld
