Does anyone remember this mock band MTV created? It started with a movie, then spun off to a tv show? It had Chris Farley's brother, Kevin, on it. Sadly I think what the show will be remembered for most is the tragic death of Michael Cuccione, who played QT McKnight. He was 16, and had battled Hodgskins Disease twice, succumbing to a lung collapse. I was 15 at the time and it affected me horribly. I still have his poster on my wall (Im still searching for the doll of him, that is now horribly rare.) After that, the producers wisely decided to cancel the series, and since then MTV has decided to pretend it virtually never exsisted.
Loved, loved, loved this movie/show. I actually ran across the VHS I had taped the movie when it aired on the other day when moving.
I had such a crush on the big blue eyed shy one, I forget his name.

I bought the CD off Amazon a few months ago :P. Good stuff.
They actually have 2 cds. I thought the movie/show was kinda lame, but I liked the music.
Very sad about that kid who passed.
I LOVED 2GE+HER! I have one of their CDs, the DVD of the original movie, and a VHS of episodes that I taped off the show. I remember crying in the halls at school when I found out about Michael Cuccione's death. Mostly because one of my friends was being a real bitch about it, but that's beside the point.
My favorite was a tie between Chad Linus and Mickey Parke. This really was a great tv show with some very humorous satire. Too bad MTV pretends it never existed.
"You, and you, and me...together we make three!"
"I promise you I didn't know she was your sister..."
I was just gonna point out that it's 2ge+her, with a plus sign in place of a T. Anyway, how could you not love lyrics like this?
I know my calculus
It says u + me = us
Said I know my calculus
It says u + me = us
We're together forever, c'mon

Evan Farmer went on to host some home makeover show on TLC (I think). He seemed to have an allergy to shirts on that show.

And did they have a song called "Rub One Out" about semi-abstinence?
No, "Rub One Out" was a song performed by their rival band, Woah.
And "Liquid Dreams" was O-Town.
I had to pull up a pic to remember them, so in case anyone else needs a visual...

Ah Yes- but it was on the 2g+her album! I loved that song!
I LOVE this movie/band! I have on DVD the original movie, and the soundtrack. Noah Bastian is by far my favorite 2ge+her band member, although the guy who plays Mickey Parke was in a bunch of like 90's teen movies (Never Been Kissed) so seeing/hearing him sing was pretty funny to me too. I always like cry laughing when "Chad" (Noah) talks about not knowing how much a butt-load of money is and how he stuck $5 up his behind once. Hilarious!
Awww! 2ge+ther was a BIG part of my formative years. Chad was my favorite too...I remember his teddy bear, and how he always used to cry. And that Evan (Jerry on the show, right?) was/is a hot piece.
Hey, what the.. I dont know what happened to the pic I posted. grrr.

^ True story, Justagirl. I just had the worst day and I think I'm going to put this one when I get home for some mood-boosting eye-candy, haha :)
I was tempted to watch this the other day, but I decided not to, but I did just put on "Girl the Way You Do Me" to make up for it.
