Aw, I hope Vanessa bounces back soon.
You make Vanessa Williams and Terry O'Quinn a demonic couple of an upscale building and proceeded to make them so boring.
Poor Shawn Ryan, creator of Last Resort, has not had good luck lately with his shows.

I tried to like both but stopped watyching after two or three episodes.
Park Ave was too creepy for late night and Last Resort got too convoluted. Good concepts that didn't pan out in execution.
I really enjoyed 666, what a shame but I saw it coming since the ratings were do bad
666 started out kind of slow, but the last 3 episodes or so were very entertaining, and Vanessa was finally given some better material.
Last Resort was convoluted, but the acting was top notch and the story was engaging (when you could follow it!).
I will be sad to see both of them go.

I love Vanessa Williams so I was sticking it out for her, but each week I found myself paying less and less attention to the show. I totally missed that that old murderer guy was that blonde girl who looks like every other blonde girl on ABC's grandfather.
I'm also a Vanessa devotee...she rolled straight from Ugly Betty into Desperate Housewives into 666, so I'm sure she'll be back soon - hopefully in something more worthwhile.
I also want Dave Annable back soon. I like him.
Too bad about 666.
Mitt Romney, you mean?

^ Ha!
I thought they were going to end 666 like they did V. On V: The aliens won. They killed half the characters and brainwashed the rest. The end. heh. On 666: The damn hotel swallowed her up. Evil wins. Bye. Looks like there are 6 more episodes to air, though.
The sexy writer guy should get his own spinoff show called "Sexy Writer Guy".
Sexy writer guy was HOT HOT HOT on Lipstick Jungle. I'd so watch "Sexy Writer Guy".
I was just talking about 666 with my barber. He loves it! I can't wait for One Million Moms to take credit for the cancellation. They love taking credit for **** they didn't do.
We tried watching both shows and gave up on both after three or four episodes. Last Resort was boring after the pilot, and 666 didn't seem to actually go anywhere. Like someone here said - how do you get Terry O'Quinn and Vanessa Williams and have them be boring?
I didn't really watch it, but I feel like they could have stuck with it long enough to see if the ratings improved during the winter.
I really enjoyed 666! I watched it on Hulu and once it got rolling I found it very entertaining (not to mention, a source of income making props for them). I will be sad to see it go. Unfortunately ABC in particular, will not give shows the chance for show to find their footing and audience.
SNAFU do you really think ABC is worse than other networks? I just know that people seem to pick whatever network cancels shows as being the one that has an itchy trigger finger--Fox was long blamed for that after Firefly, for example. I know there's some truth to it, especially depending on how a network is doing (NBC's lack of success lately, means they are more willing to stick with a show, for example), but...
Although I've had it in for ABC ever since they canceled My So-Called Life...
Since ABC canceled Housewives, they haven't had much luck with anything.
Eric, shows like Community and 30 Rock took time to find their audiences. The network gave them a chance. I understand that with cable TV, where ratings are not necessarily a factor, network TV is under pressure to get people watching but I have seen too many shows that had the possibility into becoming something really good being shot down in their developement.
Maybe it's a good thing, that dumb blond will not have to go into that basement yet again!
Ha!
And yeah, I get your point and agree, but the main reason NBC gave the shows you mention a chance was due to the network being so low rated at the time, and having no other viable shows "in the wings". I guess I just mean that I don't think ABC has a worse track record compared to any other network in this current trigger happy TV programming culture--it just depends where the networks fortunes are at the time. I mean two years back, Fox canceled Lone Star after just two episods, despite reviews that often picked it as the best new drama on network tv of the season--I don't get the mentality of a network thinking a show could grow any sort of buzz or audience after just two episodes.
At any rate, I do agree with you. (And cable TV is not completely off the hook--when True Blood premiered on HBO it got the worse new ratings for a drama on HBO in ten years--but partly because HBO was at a point where they didn't have many buzzy shows on the horizon or left on their schedule, they decided to stick with it--wisely. OK, I guess that actually more proves the mistake networks make.)

Wasn't 666 also a victim Sandy? Destroyed their smalls sets and their main sets were very heavily damaged. I'm sure that played a hand in its end as well.
Yes it was, however they rebuilt the sets already to film the last episodes...I know there wer some established props that were severely damaged during the flooding that caused major problem. They already spent the money to finish the 12 episodes, why not just extend it for a full season?
I'm enjoying 666, but I could see it becoming tedious and diluted if it went on more than one season; I just hope they can bring things to a satisfactory conclusion and solve the mysteries in a cogent and rewarding way when it comes to a close.
Agree.
I've also been enjoying 666 - but am not surprised by this decision. I do hope that they can wrap up the storylines in the remaining episodes.
